Recent conversations in Digital Humanities (i.e. by Bethany Nowviskie at [http://nowviskie.org/2011/why-oh-why-cc-by/ her blog] ) have argued that scholars should endorse a CC-BY license for their work, allowing commercial remixing. I am not yet convinced by this argument, but am open to hearing discussion about it if anyone is interested.
